    Hi @arcfide@social.sacrideo.us
Do you have a roadmap or timeline for these changes?

Not at this moment, I am still tracking how things go, and there are a lot of balls in the air to juggle right now for this.

Anything in particular you are wanting done or tracked? Anything that you would like users to assist with?

The main thing is to be tracking the types of traffic that I need to manage, what kinds of things a podmin might have to go through, how traffic affects the servers, and so forth. I'd also very much like to hear what you and others think about the diaspora experience, and what you wish were better as well as what you like a lot.

Main issues I have with Diaspora right now:
    1. Once a post is created it is immutable. I suppose that makes a person more careful when they comment or post, but I cringe when I see my typos and wish I could fix them
    1. Cannot easily tell what "aspect" each post is created under, or who I have grouped other people under. Have to click on each one to see the membership, which is an upside-down approach that is tedious and time-intensive. It would be better, more efficient, and far easier to have a central UI location somewhere that would allow a person to manage such things
    1. Some of the markup functionality seems off; I have tried to attach/embed an image using markup and it does not appear to work. Uploading a photo works just fine though, so there is a workaround
    1. Kind of wish I could have different streams/channels to post things under, instead of one continuous stream. I like to be organized ;)
    1. Would like to have emojis present. These are a bit better at communicating a response to a post than a simple like, for example by showing approval, disapproval, amusement, exasperation, etc. A like is rather flat and implies a lot of other things (approval, interest, unity, agreement) but isn't very clear and the ambiguity can lead to weird social behaviors (as seen in Facebook and other social media)

Beyond that, I'm still learning what Diaspora is like, trying different things out, and seeing how it works. I like the concept of it being decentralized, but not entirely clear how that is going to operate in practice. I like the anonymity it allows - one of the reasons I was looking for it - and that it isn't (so far as I can see anyways) doing any tracking.

I would guess that the editing of posted posts and emojis would be the 2 things most people would want. I've noticed that The Bird Site doesn't have the editing feature either. If the post is messed up, it's deleted and rewritten.
